It sounds ironic discussing the health benefits of drinking alcohol. The picture we have in our minds as per drinking is concerned is either of a fat belly or lazy lifestyle. However its not the full story if we talk about moderate drinking followed as part of our diet or as consulted by the physician.

Sounds Strange but wait, its true. Drinking in moderation helps in increase of your lifespan. A study by the Catholic University of Campobasso reported that drinking less than four or two drinks per day during meals for men and women respectively could reduce the risk of death by 18 percent, as reported by Reuters.
